For Local Foods week, the Boalsburg Farmers Market is sponsoring an event that brings restaurant goers and chefs together. Seven chefs will compete for the Golden Basket Award, preparing fresh ingredients from market vendors. The event will take place from 2-4 p.m. at the regular Tuesday, Aug. 7 at the Boalsburg Farmers Market at the Pennsylvania Military Museum, Business Route 322, Boalsburg. There is ample, convenient free parking for the event at the market.
